From Friday, July 24, you will be required by the law to wear a face-covering mask in our Farm Shop and sales greenhouse. Wearing a face mask becomes mandatory in shops and supermarkets in England from July 24. The fine costs up to £100, which is announced by the government. Save yourself from penalties and prepare yourself with a face mask. The face mask can be anything that covers both your mouth and your nose. In fact, homemade coverings are approved for use.
Confidently shop with a mask
Wearing a face mask whilst shopping in our Farm Shop and sales greenhouse provides a confident shop environment. It gives people more confidence to shop safely and enhance protections for those who work in shops. Our members of staff are our precious possession, which we don't want to lose on a virus. Wearing a face-covering mask doesn't only help our staff, but also provides you with a safe shop environment.
People that don't need to wear a mask:
- Children under the age of 11 and children with certain disabilities will be exempt from this restriction.
- People that communicate through lip-reading communication.
- People that are disabled to put on, wear or remove the face mask because of a physical or mental illness, or impairment, or disability.
- People that are asked by the police, or other official requests to remove the face mask.
Wear a face mask for your own safety
Please, observe the rule of wearing a face mask in our Farm Shop and sales greenhouse. We are following the restrictions by the government carefully. If you refuse to wear a mask, you will be asked to leave our garden centre. We look forward to welcoming you to our garden centre. Besides wearing a mask, we ask you to observe our rules. We provide a safe shopping environment. This is all possible with your help only. Thank you for cooperating.
