Rushfields Farm Shop

Our award winning farm shop opened in 2010 and since then has won Sussex Food & Drink Awards Food Shop of the Year twice, in 2015 and 2021.

We believe in carving a place for ourselves in the local community: helping to reduce food miles, support the Sussex economy, and source and provide the best quality local goods and fresh produce.

Rushfields Pies

We make award winning pies and sausage rolls in our on site pie kitchen. Made from fresh, local ingredients and encased in crispy pastry, our pies have been the talking point of our farm shop for over ten years. Colin, Zoe and Holly are always perfecting their recipes and working on new additions to our pie counter for our customers to enjoy!

We make our own sausages in a huge range of flavours including our Breakfast , Old English, Cumberland, Lincolnshire, Honey and Mustard and gluten free sausages too!

Local Cheese

We are very fortunate to have several excellent dairies producing top quality cheese will always try to promote Sussex cheese above all else.

Our staff are all trained to guide you when picking cheeses and are passionate cheese lovers themselves. Our Head Cheesemonger, Sam, is always seeking out the best cheeses and keeping our staff up to date on the world of cheese. His keen senses have guided him to judging at the Artisan Cheese Awards and the World Cheese Awards as well as competing in Young Cheesemonger of the Year at the British Cheese Awards. If you ever have a question about cheese, he'll always enjoy trying to answer it!

Fresh Produce

We have some great local growers in Sussex who supply us with the tastiest, in season fruit and vegetables.

Nutbourne Nurseries in Pulborough grow the best tomatoes in a range of traditional and more exotic varieties. We stock Nutbourne tomatoes between March and October, or for as long as the season lasts!

Ringden Farm in Hurst Green, East Sussex, have been growing apples and pears for over 70 years and supply us with different varieties of apples all year round.

We also stock Morghew potatoes from just over the border in Kent who grow lots of different varieties for you to try.

Local Wines, Beers & Spirits

Sussex has loads of great local alcohol producers - some big and some small!

Our great beer producers include Harvey's, Long Man Brewery and Lakedown Brewery, alongside guest beers.

We are very proud to stock cider from Norman Hunt & Sons and Silly Moo from Cowfold.

We are awash with fantastic local wines including Poynings Grange from just across the road, Court Garden, Albourne Estate, House Coren and also stock a curated selection of international wines supplied by South Downs Cellars.

Among our local spirits suppliers are Geogie & Henners Gin, Devils Dyke Gin, Ditchling Gin, Goldstone Rum from Henfield and Spirit of the Downs.
